Privacy Policy

Welcome

Welcome to Passwords Manager. This Privacy Policy explains the privacy rules applicable to personal data when you access, install, or use Passwords Manager. Privacy is extremely important for any service that handles sensitive personal information.

TFH Technologies built Passwords Manager with a strong privacy-first approach. The application is designed to be trustworthy by default and to minimize data collection.

Our Apps

TFH Technologies offers PM Lite (free) and paid apps including PM Pro (one-time lifetime purchase) and PM Max (subscription, where available). Regardless of which app you use, privacy and user control remain core principles.

Information Collection & Use

Here we explain our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information. If you decide to use our application, the core principle is that you control your own data.

Security

We value your trust. Your sensitive data is encrypted and primarily stored on your device. We do not keep your master pattern or master password on our servers. In simple terms: "we know nothing" about your private data contents.

Links To Other Sites

Passwords Manager may include links saved by you (for example in categories or records). If you open third-party links, you will be directed to external websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy policies, so please review those policies carefully.

Cookies (Website)

Our website may use essential cookies for basic functionality. If we add non-essential analytics or marketing cookies in the future, this policy and consent behavior will be updated.

Connected cloud services

PM Max is the only tier that connects to connected cloud services for encrypted backup and sync. Sync data is stored in your own cloud account (for example Google Drive or Dropbox), not on our company’s servers. PM Lite and PM Pro do not use those cloud APIs for this purpose.

We do not host your data as a centralized service. You decide whether to enable cloud sync, and you remain responsible for protecting your cloud account credentials and device security.

We do not run our own servers for your sensitive data or secrets. Nothing is uploaded to a Passwords Manager website or data center. To use the same data on another device you can connect your own cloud storage so PM Max can keep an encrypted sync copy there, or export an encrypted backup file on one device and move it yourself (for example by USB, email attachment, or any channel you trust), then import it in the app. You choose which path you use, or neither.

When you connect a provider, PM Max uses that connection only to upload and download encrypted backup files that PM Max creates. Your unrelated files in that cloud are not browsed or searched for general file browsing. You can always decline cloud access. If you never connect a cloud account, your data stays on your device unless you move it with an export yourself. We do not copy it to our systems.

PM Max cannot restore your data from us. We have no copy. If you do not use cloud sync and you do not keep an encrypted export you can import again, a lost device, broken phone, or cleared app data can mean permanent loss.

We do not use connected cloud services for ads, credit scores, building a profile about you, or training public AI or machine learning products.

If you connect Google Drive or Dropbox in PM Max, the details for that provider are below.

Google Drive backup

Only PM Max can connect to Google for backup and sync when you choose Google Drive. PM Lite and PM Pro never connect to Google for your data. Google Drive permission applies only if you pick cloud sync and choose Google as that provider. PM Max stores an encrypted copy in a private space in your Google account meant for this app, separate from the folders you usually see in My Drive. PM Max does not browse your personal documents there. On phones and tablets, PM Max is the version that can use the internet for this feature when you turn it on.

This follows Google’s rules for apps that use Google sign-in and Drive, including the Google API Services User Data Policy and Google APIs Terms of Service.

Data accessed

After you turn on Google backup and approve the sign-in prompt, PM Max may use:

  • Your Google account for app backup. To add, update, or remove the encrypted backup files PM Max stores for you in Google’s app-only storage for this product. Your other Drive files are not opened or searched.
  • Basic sign-in details from Google. Such as which Google account you linked, as shown on Google’s own screens.

We ask for the smallest amount of access Google allows for this kind of app backup.

Data usage

That information is used only to:

  • Keep PM Max signed in to your Google account for encrypted backup and sync.
  • Send and fetch encrypted backup files PM Max created for you.
  • Show which Google account is linked, where the app shows that.

Data sharing

We do not sell your Google-related information and do not give it to data brokers. PM Max talks to Google’s systems only for the backup you switch on. Google’s own privacy rules apply on their side. We do not hand your sensitive saved data or Google login details to other companies for their own use.

Storage & protection

  • Your data and secrets are encrypted on your device before anything is sent to Google. We do not keep a master copy of your decrypted information on our servers.
  • Sign-in tokens for Google stay on your phone or tablet, using secure storage where the system provides it.
  • Use of Google’s interfaces stays limited to what you approve for backup and sync across your devices.

Retention & deletion

  • Encrypted backups in your Google account stay there until you delete them or turn off backup. You can also remove PM Max’s access in Google Account security settings.
  • Turn off Google Drive or cloud sync inside PM Max to stop using Google for sync.
  • Some data is controlled by you and Google until you remove it in the app, in Google Drive, or in your Google account.
